Information we collect
- Account details: name, email, language preference and password hash.
- Learning records: test attempts, answers, scores and topic progress.
- Security records: login events, hashed network identifiers and account changes.
- Purchase records: plan, payment provider references, status and legal acceptance evidence. We do not store full card details.
Why we use it
We use account and learning data to perform our contract and provide tests, progress and support. We use security data for legitimate interests in preventing fraud and protecting accounts. We use transaction records to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations. Where consent is required, you may withdraw it.
Sharing and international transfers
Information may be processed by hosting, email and payment providers acting for us. Stripe or PayPal receives payment information when selected. Provider locations and safeguards must be reviewed before launch. We do not sell personal information.
Retention
Account and learning records are kept while the account is active and then only as long as reasonably needed. Transaction and legal acceptance records may be kept for up to six years where required for legal or accounting purposes. Expired reset and verification tokens are deleted through maintenance. Security logs are normally retained for up to one year unless needed to investigate abuse.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability. You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. Contact us first using the details above so we can help.
Automated decisions and children
Test scoring is automatic but does not produce legal or similarly significant effects. This service is intended for people preparing for the Life in the UK Test and is not designed for children.
