LEGAL INFORMATION
Cancellation and Refund Policy - Online Learning Access Plans
This policy applies to all fixed-duration access plans: 30-day, 90-day, 1-year and Lifetime Access. All purchases are one-time payments; no automatic recurring billing applies.
1. Statutory Cooling-off Period
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015, UK consumers have a 14-day cooling-off period beginning the day after purchase, during which you may cancel for any reason and receive a full refund - if you have not yet accessed the training content.
2. Immediate Access and Loss of Cancellation Rights
Our platform grants immediate access to your training materials upon purchase. By requesting immediate access, you agree that:
- You give express consent for performance to begin within the 14-day cooling-off period;
- You acknowledge that once you access any content, your statutory right to cancel is lost and no cooling-off refund will be available.
This waiver is required by law for immediate digital access and will be clearly presented for your explicit confirmation at checkout.
3. Refund Eligibility by Access Status
| Access status | Refund position |
|---|---|
| Content not accessed and within 14 days | Full refund - no questions asked |
| Content accessed and within 14 days | No cooling-off refund - you have waived your right to cancel |
| After 14 days (any plan) | No refund for change of mind; statutory rights for faulty or misdescribed content remain unaffected |
| Lifetime Access - content not accessed within 14 days | Full refund available on request |
| Lifetime Access - content accessed | No refund - access continues for the lifetime of the Tamil Learning Hub service, subject to the Terms and Conditions |
| Faulty, unavailable or misdescribed content | Repair, replacement or refund as required by the Consumer Rights Act 2015 - applies regardless of timing |
We do not calculate refunds based on percentage of content viewed or partial usage. The single determining factor under the cooling-off rules is whether access began with your consent.
4. How to Exercise Your Cooling-off Right
If you have not accessed any content and remain within the 14-day window:
- Email us at mm@lifeintheuktest.shop, clearly stating “Cancellation Request - Cooling-off Period”.
- Include your order reference and purchase date.
- We will confirm receipt and refund your payment within 14 days of receiving your valid cancellation notice.
- No online cancellation portal is required; written notice by email satisfies legal requirements.
5. Important Clarifications
No recurring subscriptions: All plans are one-time, fixed-duration access. They do not auto-renew. The subscription renewal rules in the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 do not apply to these purchases.
No partial refunds or pro-rata deductions: Once access has begun with your consent, no refund is due under the cooling-off regime, even if you used only a small portion of the material.
Statutory rights unaffected: Nothing in this policy removes your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 for faulty, non-conforming, or misdescribed content. If content fails to meet the statutory standards, contact us and we will remedy the position in accordance with your legal rights.
